These evil beasts that 'kill' our children's souls deserve to be put to death, how come so many are set free or not given harsher sentences?

I think that taking away a child's sense of self & ruining their lives IS one of the most awful crimes, along with murder.

I know if someone did anything like that to my child I would demand justice & when the justice system fails by setting them free.... I would most certianly make sure that after a long, painful beating that the sicko would be taken from this world forever and sent to hell where they belong...

The excuse that molesters & sexual preditors are abuse victims themselves & we should feel sorry for them is a bunch of bull... If they were really decent people they would have sought counseling or not continued the cycle, there is no excuse for carrying on the cycle.

but thats just my opinion as a mom....

Quite frankly the answer is simple. Our legislature hasn't made it a priority. If you want to see this done, then contact your congresspeople. It is congress that writes the actual criminal laws (which include sentencing guidelines!). The court merely interprets those laws. I suggest that you look at "Jessica's Law" and what has happened with it over the last year or so. I was pleased to see it passed in the majority of states. However, it took political activism to bring about that change. Make it a congressional priority by BRING IT UP. If the issue isn't presented, then no one thinks about it.

(1) The death penalty is reserved for the most serious of crimes, and (2) you can't undo it when an error is made.

This recent story quickly came to mind after I read your question. What are your thoughts?

Yes, preying on children is a heinous act, but when you start killing for child molestation, you are on a slippery slope. I would be interested to know what are all the crimes that you think should be punishable by death. Personally, I take issue with imposing the death penalty because in doing so, you turn the government into a killing instrument. Since the government is the representative body of the public, we are all held accountable for the deaths, right or wrong.

I don't expect anyone to accept this easily so let's go with a hypothetical example. Your government has authorized YOU (and no one else) to personally execute a convicted one-time child molester who happens to be 18 years old. You will see him in person, and he will beg for his life. What method will you use to kill him? Can you inject the poisons that will paralyze and then stop the heart of another human being? I would wager that this act will change you for the rest of your life. I won't even get into the possibility that someone will try to take revenge.

Putting a person in prison takes away a large chunk of a person's natural life and cannot be taken lightly either (ever read about an innocent man being mistakenly imprisoned?), but it is perhaps the best we can do at this point when imposing justice. My point is that killing is not something that should be taken lightly. If you actually made it this far, thanks for reading.

If favor be, surely sure. an option determination will be castration yet then they might probable turn to killers. So the demise penalty often is the answer. human beings seem to ignore the sentiments of the victims and their households. the placement with leaving them in penal complex is taxpayers money, prisons immediately are like usa golf equipment or health spas. that doesn't appear as if punishment to me. sure, they are with the overall penal complex inhabitants & i'm sensible some day , they are going to be killed in a no longer so impressive way. yet again, why might want to we pay to save them residing very comfortable? purely doesn't make any experience to me.

Because there is the thought that if these were death penalty crimes then you'd have alot more kids being killed instead of just molested. I'm torn on that myself because I could see that being a problem but I also think they need more punishment than they seem to get. Maybe we need to stop having early release for good behavior since if they had good behavior they wouldn't be there to begin with.

Well, I disagree with Smart***. If we live in a just society, anyone that rapes and sodomizes little girls and boys, messing them up for life and in some cases giving them lifelong STDs, would be given the death penalty. It really sickens me that these people are allowed to live next door to children when they are obviously sick beyond all help!

1) Our Congress and Senate have been molesting pages sense the beginning. You expect them to make laws to protect our children.I think its not likely to happen.I heard about pages in the 60's and still in the news now.I was assaulted at the age of 10 yrs.old.Can I get Justice,No,Statue of Limitations applies. The predator is still violating children and is free.
