Most Filipinos are racially Asian with slight amounts of European and Australoid mixed in. The Asian majority is overwhemingly ethnic Malay although there is also a small Chinese minority. There is a significant European admixture only among the Filipino overclass mostly as a result of intermarriage during the 300 year Spanish occupation. In some of the larger islands deep in the mountains, there are small tribes of "Negrito" pygmies whose ancestors were displaced by Asian colonists (ethnic Malays to be specific) roughly a thousand years ago.

That last probably requires some further explanation, so:

Negrito was originally a Spanish term meaning "small *****". The term referred both to the small stature of this ethnic group and to the mistaken belief that they were the same race as Africans. Modern DNA research has shown this to be completely mistaken. The Negritos are now thought to be racially Australoid that is to say members of the same macro-ethnic group as the aboriginal peoples of Australia, New Guinea, and Melanesia.

Filipinos belong to the Malayan (Malay) race which includes the people of Malaysia, Indonesia, Brunei, Timor-Leste, parts of Thailand and Singapore.

Have you heard of Dr. Jose Rizal, the Philippine national hero? He's considered as The Greatest Malay or The Pride of the Malayan Race. These titles given to him are recognized not just in the Philippines but by other countries in the region. Thus, it bolsters my claim that Filipinos actually belong to the Malay race. :-)

on an analogous time because it quite is not uncommon to work out a Filipino with Caucasian or ******* features, even although, majority of the Filipino human beings belong to the Austronesian race, that's a sub-race of Mongoloid.

Majority of Filipinos are Mongoloid (Asian), but not necessarily limited to it. I am a Filipino and I encounter a lot of Caucasian featured Filipinos.

Asian.
Filipinos are NOT Pacific Islanders. The Philippines is not a part of Oceania, thus inhabitants of the Philippines are not Pacific Islanders. It's the same with Japan - not part of Oceania, so inhabitants of Japan are not Pacific Islanders, they're Asians.
