i dont like choosing ONE favorite, so ill list several
Lee Morgan (take a look at "Totem Pole" or "Ceora")
Miles Davis ("All Blues" "So What")
Sarah Vaughan ("Lullabye of Birdland")
John Coltrane (id say he is my overall favorite, check out "Giant Steps" "A Love Supreme" and "Blue Train")

Is Michael Buble considered Jazz? If so, he would probably be my fave right now. Diana Krall is pretty good and of course Billie Holliday all the way.
