Well the sad thing is I believe this is just him, I believe some people are more open minded than others, the sad thing is I believe if you are really closed minded it will come back and bite you in the butt ! You ever notice when you say you will not do something, you do just that!? I have done it so many times, and I try not to say it anymore. So tell him one day it may be that black man he is insulting saving his life! Good Luck, but sorry I don't think he will change.

Wives have bed control. Everything he says or does something remarkably racist, kick him to the couch. He'll get the point soon enough. Even if he harbors the feelings inside, he'll keep them to himself. And that's enough. The only way he'll actually learn is to be exposed to real people from minorities. If you can arrange that, you'll have a better shot. Otherwise, just train him.

Don't be mad at your husband. He honestly might be a prejudice. Maybe he was taught that way as a child. Children are not born prejudice they are taught that. You might not be able to change him because maybe it was instilled in him to think a certain way about black people. I am black and still to this day I know white and black people that are prejudice. There is probably a black person that feels the same way about him that he feels about black people.

It's sad --he sounds like a person who will never grow into anything more than he is right now...
