I am not Jewish, but I have acquaintances who are. Is it appropriate to acknowledge Hanukah by sending them a "Happy Hanukah" card...since I can't send them a Christmas card. Or would it be inappropriate, since again, I'm not Jewish. Thanks in advance.

TO LILDEVILGURL - Actually, there are a number of ways to spell Hanukah in English...several of the most common are...Hanukah, Hannukah, and Chanukah. And I always thought the point of GIVING...whether it be a card or an automobile...was the joy of giving. Not the joy of what you may or may not be getting in return.

I don't see why not. I think it would be a good idea, it would show you care. Merry Christmas!

You can start off by spelling "Hanukkah" right. Haha, jk, I'm so mean. But sure! Just because you aren't Jewish doesn't mean anything. If you had black friends I'm sure they would appreciate it if you gave them Kwanzaa gifts and cards.

Good luck! ^_^

And btw, if they are just acquaintances...maybe you shouldn't get them anything unless you know they're getting you something in return...I know that sounds harsh, but it's true

I am not Jewish, but I think everyone likes to be remembered with a kind gesture. I think a card would be good.
