there not going to be "just in ur mattress" Youll need to vacuum ur floors and matress bomb the house and wash the animal that brought them in. If its a cat skip the bath but nothing works like giving your pet the topical solution that is applied between the shoulder blades like advantage, revolution, or frontline. Don't go with the cheap stuff. It works really well kills fleas turns em sterile all kinds of stuff to break up their life cyle. Trust me I just bombed washed the dog but did not use the good stuff and damn it one just jumped on me 5 minutes ago!

Strip your mattress of it's linens and wash them. Vacuum the mattress and throw away the bag outside. Then spray the mattress with an over the counter lice spray. (No need to worry about it being poison- products made for lice, fleas and bedbug control are typically very safe even professional grade. Not to mention your mattress pad and sheets all go on top of it)Once it's dry vacuum the mattress again and throw that bag away outside again. Make sure you treat your entire house at the same time or you will get re-infested. Also if you have any pets, they need to be treated when you do the rest of the house or you will risk a reinfestation. When treating your house, follow the same procedure as with the mattress. Vacuum first, throw out the bag, then spray the house, let dry and then vacuum again throwing out the bag when finished. Be sure to pay close attention to areas where your pet rests and along baseboards when vacuuming and spraying. If the over the counter sprays don't seem strong enough for you there is a website that sells professional strength pesticides that you can use. It's the same stuff a bugman would use if you hired him to spray your house.

How much money do you have? That is how you determine ease of eradication.
If you can afford an exterminator and a new mattress, well that is the answer.
Years ago I had to share a mattress with four men who were not from the cleanest background, that included one stuffed arm chair.
In the morning that I was going to have to stay over for the night I, First , stripped the bed, and stood the mattress end and sprayed both sides with Raid and and Roach killer ( it is a broad spectrum killer) Then at the end of the day I put clean linens on the bed, and crawled in until the night whistles to warn the time were loud enough to wake me.
All these many years of that practice of waking up and spraying with RAID had preserved the wholesome atmosphere that this Campus deserves

fleas don't live in mattresses. They are parasites and must live on the human or animal host. If you have bugs that are biting you in your mattress, it's most likely bedbugs. They are very hard to get rid of. You should get rid of the mattress but most likely they will still be in the carpet surrounding the mattress as well. You might have to call in a professional, or do a search on the internet for bedbugs.

Throw out the old mattress, bomb the house, buy a new mattress. I know that's not what you want to hear, but I don't think there is any other way to get rid of them. You could try cutting a hole in the mattress and spraying inside the mattress, but then you would be sleeping on a poison mattress.

vacuum it, then right away throw the bag in the outside garbage and spray it with flea killer, then spray your mattress with indoor house/flea spray. Then let sit and vacuum again. Retreat in a couple of days to make sure you have gotten them. If they are in the mattress, they are in the house. Use the spray on all carpeted areas. You may need to call a professional bug service??
Good Luck

Spray it with that stuff you get at the pet store. It kills fleas and you hold the can upside down when you spray it. I t comes in a white can and is safe for bedding. It's about $4 a can. I used it once and it really works. Just go into the petstore and describe it and they should know what your talking about.
