blue tongue skinks are omnivorous and need approximately 50/50 animal protein and plant matter. Animal protein can include snails, crickets/mealworms, boiled ground turkey, pinky mice, even low fat moist dog/cat food. The turkey would probably be one of the healthiest things. Plant matter includes things like collard greens, mustard greens, dandelion greens, squash, mixed veggies (no broccoli), sprouts, banana, apple, papaya, fig, berries etc... The most important thing is variety. I mix up my BTS's diet as much as possible (which is easy because he eats ANYTHING)

As far as set up and proper care, check out the caresheets here-

My Blue-Tongues were omnivorous and ate pinky mice, mealworms, but also things such as ripe banana and soft pears. One liked canned dog food. So experiment with grapes, melon, and other veggies, try dog food (canned) and pinky mice. Many commercial diets are fine but slightly expensive...use a vitamin/mineral powder and dust over the food....after he/she begins eating that item.
