Well, here's some reality that conflicts with your feelings: I was not rich, but now am in pretty good shape.

I think the general thing that's happening is that the portion of 'poor' stays static, but who's in that portion is constantly rotating. This is good; people are entering the workforce, working their way up.

Read luke 19-12/23 this explains The law of why the rich get richer and the poor get poorer. Simply put Prosperity is like muscle strength, use it or lose it. If one does not have gratitude for what he does have & if he does not take advantage of the opportunities that come to him, then he will lose what he already has.

The monetary rich play off the innocence of the poor and uneducated. Monetary rich folk are usually successful not necessarily because they are educated but because they are smart. Unfortunately, smart doesn't go hand in hand with compassion. Compassionate people will give away the coat on their back and have nothing, but in the end, in their hearts, they feel better and are therefore richer in success in their soul than the monetary rich. This I guarantee.

(Luk 6:35) But love ye your enemies, and do good, and lend, hoping for nothing again; and your reward shall be great, and ye shall be the children of the Highest: for he is kind unto the unthankful and [to] the evil.
(Mat 6:20) But lay up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where neither moth nor rust doth corrupt, and where thieves do not break through nor steal:
(Mat 6:19) Lay not up for yourselves treasures upon earth, where moth and rust doth corrupt, and where thieves break through and steal:
Worry not about the rich man. His treasures are here for this time only. Worry that your treasures are far greater and more abundant in the kingdom and heaven that any man can imagine. Trust your God and his son first. For if you are a child of God what will not your Father in heaven grant you?

What curious cat said hit it big time...multinational conglom monopolies like walmart take over opportunities w/ in the community.....flea markets on the other hand lend opportunity to start up businesses, but they are out-drenched by monotheistic local governments who would rather sterilize the landscape w/ corporatized decor..this also smacks of republican brainwashing/cultist techniques of which they are masters of and unfortunately not famous for...what sunny2006 said is a shame...unfortunately people are taking this attitude...it doesn't have to be this way...there can be opportunity w/ out resorting to such drastic measures...it's up to us to vote in a more open minded government...

Because your mind is not always on making money,
saving money, scrounging money, and being tight, tight, tight. Because you are not greedy. Plus you are not motivated to make tons of money, because to you there are more important things in life than just making money. Its called enjoying life a little bit, without high expectations or ripping people off ect.
