thing is I love all kinds of music, jazz, blues, reggae, some r&b, ballads, alternative, classic stuff, even so, cant stand rap or hip hop, I love everyone, I think we are all the same, but the music I dislike

thing is when you know something is good, you should ask, if you have a 5 year old kid, your own, what would you like to encourage him or her to listen to, and also, what would you encourage him or her to play and create

I dislike rap, r & b, and glad that people get to choose what stations they can enjoy. So I get to listen to what I want, they get to listen to what they want and I'm lucky I don't have to put up with shyte I don't like ;). It's all choice, I'd hate to see rap etc not played anymore-because that's someone's choices being chucked away. Unfair. Just cos some hate it doesn't mean it shouldn't be played to those who like it.

I dont care for Gangsta Rap (the rap we associate with inner city thugs), but there is a lot of rap (which is basically just spoken word rhymes) that deserves credit. Blondie's "Rapture", The Shamen's "Move Any Mountain" are two right off hand I can think of that are awesome.
Tupac, Biggie, P Diddy, et all....THAT'S crap, and I believe that their music (and the rest of the "thug" culture) has absolutely no merit in contemporary music. Talentless low class ghetto trash is all they are, only now they're rich (well except for Biggie, who was murdered because of rap).
What a lovely culture, can I be a part, pleeze? (sarcasm...)

I love some hip hop, just change the channel or station if u dont like it, its what i do when a song i hate comes on,simple right?

listen to what you like, thats your choice. i choose to listen to some of it but i dont say ban it from the radio. you can always change the station.

I don't know, it just all starts sounding the same to me.
Some of the beats are good, but the lyrics are mind numbingly repetitive and dull.
