My last period was 10/16 and my cycles are usually 30-36 days which means .... it should have started by now. I took a test last week which was negative but not really late then since hadn't reached the 36 day mark. I want to test again but I'm scared of the results. I half expected my period to start after I took the last test since it usually does. Should I test again or wait longer?

I really feel for you. I am up to day 41, and still no period. I took a test a few days ago and was neg. I know how it feels to want to take another one and yet be scared of the disappointment of a negative! Sometimes it feels better to be able to hold onto that bit of hope....
All the best with your ttc efforts. Go see your doctor as to why your cycles are irregular/long. You may have polycystic ovaries and/or need some hormonal support.

I would take another home pregnancy test, and if it turns out negative, don't lose hope! A surprising number of women don't carry the pregnancy hormone, hcg, which is how home pregnancy tests detect pregnancy. So, if the test is negative, head to your doc for a blood test, it's the only way to know for sure. Good luck!

I think there could be a couple of things going on.
#1.....you do have actually long ovulatory cycles and you ovulate late and...therefore, too early too test.
#2.... you had an anovulatory cycle (lack of ovulation)
With the dates you've given, I really believe you should have an accurate test by now.

Test again, the pressure of waiting is too much stress you don't need if you might be pregnant. Good luck.

i say wait a little longer. but other signs, are morning sickness at anout 2-4 months. and you might have to pee more.. or get a little hungrier.
but i guess give it another try in a week or so =]

Just stop worrying and dont take any tests---when u start feeling sick and throwing up yellow mornin sickness then u will know that u are pregnant.
Stop worrying and go about your normal life.

Oh, yes take the test again and if you dont have your period soon take it again and if you still dont get your period....Go to the Gino soon.

yes, take another. and whatever the outcome, you should go see your ob/gyn, because if you're not pregnant, and not getting your period, there may be something else going on that you need to take care of.
