I spilled a few drops of olive oil onto the cashmere. I'm wondering if there's something I can do, before taking it to the drycleaner?

Thanks in advance,
KBF

I would not touch it. Take it to the cleaners as soon as you can and show them what happened and let them deal with it. By trying to fix the problem yourself, you could make it worse.

Get luke warm water. put in tablet of alka seltzer and then place sweater 3 inches above the tablet so bubbles go through sweater. Blot with towel and let dry.

You could try this: place a piece of newspaper on the stain and press it with a warm iron. The newspaper will absorb the oil.

If its immediately after, blot it with soapy water and then lay it out.
If not, your best bet is to go with the dry cleaner. they have the best tricks and tips
