At the very least, I would suggest (after being in such a situation myself) to pull back from your friend. No matter if that person has pyschological or health problems, you still do not have to allow yourself to be a punching bag for him or her.

Pull back and give each other some space before the friendship completely collapses. My other suggestion is that you now reach out to other people and develop new, healthier friendships.

Friends are supposed to support us and make us feel better, not make us feel lost and without support. If that friend you wrote us about continues to act in a mean manner, take the steps to break away, ever so slightly. If the abuse continues, end the friendship -- letting it fade away is the best. I am in a situation like that now, so I know what you are going through. Good luck.

Put some distance between yourself and your friend. Make the friend come to you. When he/she does, talk to them about why you've been staying away and work to solve the problem then (if you still want the person as a friend).
