For the most part the wind will blow the fog away. However here in the Mohawk Valley, I have seen windy fog.

Its usually foggy in low places, because theres not much wind to blow it away. and that's were moisture gathers in low places.so as to form fog. and near or above water. but theres sometimes wind that blows fog I have seen it a few times.reminds me.I stayed at a place called castle in the clouds,Tennessee I think it was. a hotel.in the mountains when I was a child.and you would open your window and a cloud would come into your room, it was neat.

It is more like that there isn't fog when it is windy. Fog is nothing but a cloud in contact with the ground, and is easily dispersed, blown apart, by wind.

It's the other way around. There is never any fog when it is windy, because when it is windy - the fog is blown away or absorbed into the atmosphere.

the fog is heavy and the atmosphere is heavy
there is no wind
when the sun shines the fog disappears
