One day Kerry celebrated her birthday. Two days later her older TWIN brother, Terry, celebrated his birthday. How could this be?

Her brother was born first on March 1. They were born on an airplane or a boat and they crossed the International Date line. Kerry was born on Feb 28. They are celebrating on leap year.

Kerry was born on February 28th in a non-leap year, probably just before midnight. Her twin brother was born after midnight, making his birthday March 1st. During a leap year, their birthdays will be separated by February 29th, making them a day apart. So, in the year 2008, Kerry will celebrate her birthday on the 28th, and then two days later, her brother will celebrate his birthday.

Maybe Kerry isn't actual twins with Terry, but Terry is her brother but actually twins with the third person, if you know what I mean.
If its not that, I haven't a clue, unless the mother had a long labour

twins can be fertilized on different days and therefore born different days..a women can have 2 uterus (very rare but it happens) and then the babies are born on different days. or she was in labor for over 48 hours and I seriously doubt that...

if they're a boy and a girl, they're fraternal twins, not identical, so they might have different b-days. Either that, or their mom was in labor for a LONG time : )
