Most girls will like jewelry. A pretty bracelet or a pair of earrings would be nice. A gift card is a safe way to go, of course - but kind of boring. Most girls still like stuffed animals (Penguins are hot this year). A hat, scarf and gloves in an animal print would be fun. A nice journal and a set of colored gel ink pens would be nice. A jewelry box or purse would be fun, too. Hope this helps.

Gift certificate to the mall where she can select for herself what she wants. Thirteen is an in between age perhaps Victoria Secret might interest her if she wants to feel older or a hair salon gift certificate, or music or clothing store. One thing is that is you give her a general gift certificate as in one for the mall (can be found at customer service) then you can't lose. Money is also one that one size fits all and they will never return!!!

A thirteen year-old girl. Hmmm... What are he likes or dislikes. I have a friend who likes anime so i would've gotten her some manga or a dvd. A computer is too expensive unless you're related. CD player, MP3 player not too expensive, big stuffed bear. A bookbag. You'll need more background info on her likes.

GIFT CARDS ARE LIKE THE BEST GIFTS, THEY DON'T REQUIRE MUCH DECIDING!!

That depends on the child. I give my niece books.
But if you are not sure, you could always give her a gift voucher.
