Take a reality check. I know its hard, but you are going to do worse if you are nervous so if anything you should be nervous about being nervous which is just ridiculous. Also, when you do get nervous drink a lot of water b/c your mouth will dry out. It also helps to squezze something really hard. It will temporarily get your mind off the problem and could break the nervous cycle.

I do not look at anyone in particular....and if u have a friend in the audience put em in the middle of the audience, they will build ur confidence. Also make a joke if possible, melts the ice and makes people less judgmental (if its a good joke)

When I'm onstage, I look for someone I know really well (friend, family member), and then just look at them the whole time. Then the rest of the audience seems to disappear and I'm just singing/speaking to that one person. It helps me out a lot.

If you have to talk in front of people, dig your toes into the ground while you're standing in front of them. It sounds weird, but you end up concentrating more on your feet than on your speech. Eventually you just fly through your speech, and do it well, if you've prepared for it.
Also practice in front of the mirror, family and friends. It really helps.
