Once in a while after going to the bathroom and performing a "#2" my penis has an intense throbby pain for approx 5-10 minutes. It is very uncomfortable and sometimes gets tho the point where I actaully double over in pain until it subsides.

It's not the skin nor the testicles nor the head that hurts. It's like an internal pain in the shaft that I can't pinpoint. I was thinking that it might have to do with air pressure or something in the different plumbing that goes on there but what do I know .

Thnis has happened for years and I can guarantee this is not an STD.

Anybody out there have a clue?

http://hcd2.bupa.co.uk/fact_sheets/html/inguinal_hernia.html Here's some info on a Inguinal hernia.

This other site says that it can relieve pain to lay down. http://www.webmd.com/hw/hernia/hw170935.asp

I suggest going to the doctor either way though... just to find out for sure. Good luck!

It's certainly worth going to the doctor about. You may have an enlarged prostate. With having a bowel movement, if the prostate is enlarged you would maybe feel some pain. Definately go though, somethings not right. The doc would do a rectal exam to check the prostate and maybe a blood test (psa...prostate specific antigen). Good luck to you, make an appt asap.
