I'm probably one of the biggest Kevin Smith fans. I really enjoyed Mallrats with the "stink palm" idea and Clerks was pretty good with the old guy who needs the soft toilet paper, and the "reading material". Kevin Smith makes the best movies.

Going to be predictable right here. that's were given to be Clerks. imagine that's by a techniques the perfect written and funniest element he's done. The characters are large, available ( to some extent) and the soundtrack is stunning. Out of the others I actually have a huge tender spot for Mallrats. Like Clerks 2 lots, besides as Jay and Silent Bob... Chasing Amy's ok and Jersey female became an exciting attempt at doing something distinct. Sorry... truly did not like Dogma. do purely not imagine it worked. yet yeah... Clerks is the single.

I think Smith's films are quirky and cheesy but in a fun way.
If somebody tries to take him serious they won't like his films. I love the whole concept with Jay and silent Bob, He's basically spoofing on the whole straight man / funny man comedy team work that goes back even to Martin and Lewis. The contrast between Smith and Mewes is brilliant seeing as Jason Mewes's character is not a character at all. That stoner you see on screen is truly Jason in real life which adds to the understated brilliance
of these films. I think people that don't like Smith's films just don't understand comedy.

Kevin Smith is by far my favorite writer/director. I have found people either LOVE HIS MOVIES!!! or hate them. But people who hate them often don't find the humor in the films.
PS Mallrats is my favorite...followed closely by Clerks

Are you kidding? Hes friggen great! I love him. I love Dogma, even though it goes against everything i believe, but he says that its not meant to be making fun or anything, so its okay, and Mallrats is totally awesome. i also saw my fave show Degrassi, and they were on there doing "Jay and Silent Bob Do Degrassi". These movies are soo dumb and soo hilarios, and soo great!!!
