Should America remain in the United Nations? Should we remain in "entangling alliances"?
Personally I believe we should tend to ourselves first and let the world screw themselves. What do you think?

This couldn't have been done 100 yrs. ago, let alone today. No one in the states today wears clothes made in the USA. We are so tangled with the Global Economy, we couldn't function if we withdrew. There would be no cars, computers, TV, trade of any kind, etc. if we did that. We have to be involved. The question is about who is making the deals we get in, and who do they serve? Today, we have been sold down the river by the powerful and they don't care what happens to you or your country. We should be telling them to go screw themselves.

100 years ago it might have been possible. even 20 years ago we might have been okay. Today, we are much too dependent on the rest of the world. By the way, how could we feel so "great" if we didn't have "poor, misguided" nations to compare ourselves to?
We screwed up by being arrogant. Doing so made us the bullies of the world. It's a shame, because just after 9/11, the whole world was on our side. The worse thing Bush did may have been to waste the good will of the rest of the world by being so arrogant.
Maybe we should get out of the UN. But it would be our lost and the rest of the world's gain. I'm sure no one would fight very hard to keep us there.

I agree with you. Personally, I have no use for this third world bag of garbage. The best thing to do with the UN flag is to use it for toilet tissue.

I think that we are pissing off to many countries as is with our involvment in the war and that we would just be screwing our selves over even more by getting out.
