The first step you have to take is a university education. Research what the spy agency is looking for in intelligence officers. Work toward that goal and take all studies very seriously. Do not tell anyone what your true intentions are, as back ground investigations on your life from birth to the present will be extremely detailed. If you are unable to keep any kind of secret, your done before you start. While in university start with a basic self defence course and work up to more advanced courses. This will help you in the short term. Read and understand basic covert operations guides and research case studies. There are lessons in history. Learn evasive tactics at the basics. The more knowledge you have going into the training program will help you comprehend the material and techniques that will become second nature to you. Not everyone gets to go into the field off the start, but you can expect at least a three year posting once you are accepted for covert assignment.

Good Luck
