Here's how my uniform code works, we can't wear any jewlery, nail polish (not even clear),
no make-up (not even cover-up), and khaki pants and a white polo. In the morning, when we get to school, we have to be examined by all of the teachers, and we have to take a wet towel and wipe it on our faces to check if any make-up rubs off. I am just curious if anybody else's schools have a ridiculous policy like ours.
So please tell me about yours.
~Thanks~

Wow. They sounds super strict!

I went to a Catholic elementary school, and even they didn't have policies like that. We had a uniform consisting of a red plaid skirt (cut at the knee and no higher) and a white button-up shirt. We could wear nail polish but only in red shades or clear, we could wear make-up as long as it wasn't obnoxious, and we could were a necklace as long as it was plain or had a crucifix. I can't believe they take time every morning to wipe all the girl's faces.....what would be the problem with having concealer on? You can't see it...

Do you go to a super-conservative, religious school? It seems a bit extreme....

We don't have a uniform. But we have a dress code. We aren't checked by teachers, and our dress code is no racist, profane, derogatory words on shirts. No chains on pants. no spaghetti strap shirts. Just the norm. Your school is just plain ridiculous.

Haha...I'm in college. I can wear pajamas to class if I want.

Actually, I graduated the year before they implemented uniforms at our district so we only had a dress code.
-Shirts had to be tucked in
-No shorts or cargos. Pants have to be full length.
-Skirts had to pass the fingertips with the hands down to your sides.
-Stomach couldn't show
-No spaghetti straps
-Shoes must be closed toe and closed heel
-Guys can't wear earrings
-No head gear
-No sunglasses.
-No shirts that have cursing, gang signs or drug/alcohol promotion or paraphernalia
-No goth make up
-No oversized jewelry
-No cellphones, beepers, two-ways, laser pointers, etc.
-Belts must be worn
-Pants must be worn at natural waist

When I went to private school )pre-k through the end of 6th grade) we had to wear uniforms

Girls:
-This hideous red and blue plaid jumper dress
-white shirt with short or long sleeves, or if whether permits, white, navy or red turtle necks
-white socks
-dark colored shoes.

Guys:
-Black or blue slacks
-white, navy or red polo, or white short sleeved or long sleeved dress shirt with tie
-dark colored shoes

Well, we homeschooled 3 high school boys. We required uniforms. All three had to be dressed in more than boxers by 9AM. So generally the uniform was pj bottoms, t's and barefeet.

My school has absolutly no restrictions on what you wear, although there is this creepy old lady who hits any girl who isn't wearing sleeves or has a space between their shirt and pants/skirt.
