Could i be pregnant if my boyfriend and i used the withdrawel method. I have read that it is very effective if the man is able to pull out before he ejaculates and he did. What are my chances of pregnancy. This was about 11 days before my period is due. I should expect it next week. What would you suggest for me. thanks

Well it's very possible because of the pre *** a man can get you pregnant with that method yes. thats not the most effective method but if it works for you gr8 if you want to know b4 your period then go get a blood test at local lab.

( I am assuming you are younger, so if you already know this stuff, Im sorry, Im not trying to be preachy or rude, just factual )

withdrawl is not a good form of birth control, there is sperm in the pre ejaculate fluid and always a chance of pregnancy, there is a method called the rhythm method that in theory bases your sexual activity according to your ovulation cycle but you need to temp and chart certains things in order for that to work somewhat properly, as you need to avoid sex during your fertile times, abstinence of course is the 100%, but after that condoms (the only to protect against stds) birth control pills, patch, diaphram etc...

IT really depends on when you ovulate in your cycle whether or not you were fertile at the time, but you could in fact have gotten pregnant using that method. I would keep good track of your cycle and next time use a birth control method that is reliable.

Best of luck :)

I am in the same predicament.
my period is due any day now, there is always a chance of being pregnant but try not to worry too much this can cause you to have a late period if you are concerned by the time your period is due there is no harm in buying a pregnancy test, i will be buying one if not on by end of next week, mine are like clockwork every four weeks.
Good luck

The method you are describing is what we call "pull and pray". You have him pull out and then you pray you don't get pregnant. If you want to know if it works... NOPE... I have an 8 year old daughter to show for that method. Good luck. If you don't want to get pregnant use a condom or get on birth control. It works better but still isn't 100%.

Not sure where you read the pull out method is effective. It most certainly is not. Sperm comes out before he ejaculates. So good luck with that. Besides the pull out method does not protect you from STD's or AIDS

It could go either way, i used the withdrawl method for a year without getting pregnant ( then planned a pregnancy)

you could very well be pregnant as withdrawal ain't a form of contraceptive as sperm can easily leak without your partner realising! It's a very foolish way to play and will end up with an unwanted/unplanned pregnancy. their are penty of methods of safer contraception available so i would advise you discuss these options with your GP-ie;- OCP,patch, implant, coil....

it's either that or it's baby time!!!!
