Yes, my life has a purpose and you too would have one after reading more(;-)

Is there a purpose of life? What does it mean when men of wisdom say there is always a purpose in life? If there is life's purpose then why do most people while away their life without ever finding a purpose in life? What use living a purpose driven life without a defined purpose?

The answer to all the above queries on finding a purpose in life is the most crucial part of life for a human being. The purpose driven life is meant to be lived by living forms which have not yet evolved to the level of human beings. Why?

Simply because they are devoid of discriminatory powers to choose a goal in life! The insects, the plants and animals always live a purpose driven life. They simply have no goal in life. They are as they are. They simply have their existence and have to abide by the rules of evolution as defined by Charles Darwin in his theory of evolution.

Only when the living form reaches the level of a human being does one realize that human life is the highest manifest stage in the cosmic system. The moment a human being realizes that life has a purpose... one seeks the purpose of his life. Without a goal in life, Life seems to be incomplete!

As the child grows... one comes to learn that every human being has the potential of becoming a man god like Mahavira, Buddha, Jesus Christ and prophet Mohammed. Is that the crux of life! Is gaining salvation the end purpose of life!

If that be so... are we required to have a purpose in life linked to salvation as the present goal of life or is it that we can postpone traveling the spiritual path for the next manifestation.

The goal and the purpose of life for every human being are gaining enlightenment and finally salvation in the end. That may or may not be the purpose of life in the present manifestation. The purpose of life in the present phase can be best known by hearing the sweet small voice of our soul atman within our heart.

The purpose of life in every manifestation is driven by our soul atman within. It is our soul atman which has taken the body and not vice versa. The purpose of life is indirectly dictated by our soul atman within. If our deeds of the present life are not in consonance with the directives of our soul atman within... then heartburning, tensions and stresses become part of daily life.

Whatever act provides us complete relief... doing which we find extreme pleasure... something that we enjoy doing must form our goal of life. It is this goal of life pursuing which the purpose of our present life would be fulfilled. More here- http://www.godrealized.org/life/purpose_driven_life.html

let me tell you something that will either shock or amaze you and the others who read the King's Answer!!!

Life: the only REAL purpose is to only colonize the Earth and keep your family continuing in heavy population!!! Thats it!! Now being some scholar or King (prophet or a adviser), oh that comes underneath this big purpose for life.
Look at the wildlife, the males are hell bent on mating, not to get a nut, but to continue his life cycle of his own family!!!! This keeps the universe well balanced my friend! That is the real purpose of life!! This planet is a trip, because since its ran by Globalist, they have came up with OTHER ideas of what life is about, hard work and etc!! Its really not!!

No, but I also feel I don't need a purpose. If the sun exploded and wiped out the galaxy would it matter? No. It seems to me that our lives revolve around creating environments conducive to positive chemical stimulation of the brain.
However, in our search for the meaning of live at least we can take stock in the fact that of all the wonderful things we have seen or encounted the human species is by far the most remarkable. If that does not make you feel special then nothing will.

I live in a practical world. We are all driven by some pupose or other in life. This make us live.If somebody believes there is no purpose ,he may commit suicide. Most of us donot think deep about purpose of life,it is a mystery.Life is the span between birth and death. So death is the ultimate purpose. But if you give some worthwhile cause to the span of life, you will become great,All great men and women had given purpose for their lives like M.K.Gandhi.Hellen Keller,Mother Theresa etc.

There is no purpose to life. The whole universe knows that! Only the mind seeks purpose for its own fulfilment.

for me, the meaning of life is to give life a meaning and not base everything on the foundation of religion and god and blindly accept the religion, the more i question things in life, the more there is to think about, and to many things, there aren't answers, as long as i know i have questioned and thought and come to a conclusion, even a conclusion of no answer, i will be satisfied

but the purpose of my life, is what i have chosen it to be, i wish to be able to accept myself, not be self-concious (because i'm very insecure), to see and feel the most i can in/of life and find peace within my heart and mind and just indulge in my emotions (positive ones of course- you know when you lose yourself in a moment of extreme bliss?) One thing I have not distinguished as a goal but just as a tool, is the attainment of knowledge because i know knowledge is infinite like time but i will use it to satisfy my curiosity

of course, life will not have a meaning if you choose not to give it a meaning, i believe you're born you live and then you die, i'm an agnostic, so i don't believe there's anything after death- so don't waste life- there's so much to see and do!!!!!!

Yes, Ithink everyone has a purpose in life. I just wonder if most people ever figure it out. I haven't figured mine out just yet , But I'm still young so I have time yet. I just hope that my purpose makes a difference some how.

Everybodys life has a purpose and a meaning. We meet people and talk to people and impact on people and there are no such things as coincidences - everything single action and reacton is happening for the momentum of the world. Even you writing this question and me answering is for a purpose.

So go on out there and be purposeful!!!

We all know of the many problems facing the earth and its people. I believe that most people would like to do something about it, but we don't do much about it because we believe that what we do will not make any difference. But we can do something and that could be our life purpose
I learned about my life purpose, and how I can make a big difference.
