I think Israel is the only ally the US actually has

They are a strategic ally and they fight Iran by killing off Hezbollah and Hamas for the US. A whole bunch of "shady" countries are the US' allies like Saudi Arabia, Pakistan and Egypt to name a few. Being allies isn't about holding hands, it's about strategic interests and alterior motives. The only true allies we have are the English speaking countries such as the UK, Canada, Australia and to an extent New Zealand. The rest of the world doesn't always support the US like the afforementioned countries do.

Israel can hardly be considered an ally. It's a one way street with Israel, since we give them all the help, and in reality, they offer us nothing. We are their ally and they are just another country with their hand out. Israel gave no warning, nor did they know about the 9/11 attacks, and they are supposed to have the best intelligence in the middle east...but I dont think so.

Anyway, Israel is not an ally.

I also agree with Jim-Ex-Marine. Israel does not allow us to use their land (or sea access) as a base of opertations (though I do not know why).

Anyway, it is true, we suffer all that we suffer for the state of Israel. And the reason?? Because Jews are "God's Chosen People", and as Christians, we are supposed to protect them and Israel. We will support Israel to the death...and for no other reason than for some religious belief. They are not an ally, nor are they a democracy. They are as much as a theocracy and any Islamic nation. The Jews killed their own prime minister, when he made a deal with the Palestinians...since the right wing Jews felt that Israel was a gift from God, and that the PM had no right to give it away....go figure.

Anyway, we suffer because of Israel, so I am not sure how that makes them an ally.

It's one of the only ones the US can depend on. But the US needs others.

Now what is the problem with improving technology, anyhow? If you found a way to improve a tool you were using, would you feel that it's forbidden to do so? Why?

And it's spelled "Israel"

I think Britain used to be a good ally until Blair lost his pair and decided to yank out his troops and sit around drinking tea for the rest of his term. Israil is a good ally, and they have nukes. They're the best base we could have in the middle east. Australia is also a good ally (i think?), and we should disown France, I honestly think we should

We need Japan, South Korea, and Taiwan among others

I'm not sure about your claim of Israel improving US military tech.

You can't have too many allies. I would rank Israel & UK, in that order, as our 2 best allies. after that is a jumble depending on which party is in power in many countries.

I stand (or sit as it were) corrected. There ARE intelligent people here. Although I can articulate no reasonable answer, I suspect that the answer is yes. Especially when you consider that the end times will begin and or evolve there.

first lets determine what is an ally? it is supposedly a friend, tell me one thing that Israel has did to show friendship toward America, when we refer to Israel it entails all Jew's as all Jew;s allegiance is to Israel , so who started the communist party that we fought for over 50years? Karl Marx was the son of a Jewish Rabbi, then when the communist party was inaugurated into Russian society who was the first premier of Russia, a Jew, named Lennon, then he was kicked out then a Jew named who was murdered by the K,G,B, IN MEXICO Stalin was head of the K,G,B, Stalin became premier his mother was Jewish there fore he was Jewish, then krushaef ? another Jew , there seems to be no info on Gorbachev, then our great Jewish president Jimmy Carter gave our radar secrets to Israel who immediately gave them to Russia who in turn developed a system to turn our missiles back on us if we fired them, Reagan had our missiles placed on rail cars and moved to a different location daily, as they were put on manual control, then Pres, Carter gave Israel our secrets for the silent prop, for our Los Angles class subs , you guessed it right Israel gave those secrets to Russia also, Israel attacked one of our unarmed ships in the gulf and for several hours strafed and bombed it killing about 40 of our men, , the American flag was flying during this attack, so in my opinion if Israel is our ally we damned sure don't need any enemies, if I am wrong show me. we are hated by most of the world for this complete support of Israel and I am asked in different countries why constantly. I will add this what strategic value is Israel? and when did we use Israel as a base of operations , even when we were fighting for them?
