that's the order in the printer, you can't stick the middle ones in without removing the neighboring one!

Well you don't HAVE to but you will get some pretty weird color combinations. Your print head has electronics in it and when you print, the application tells your printer what color it needs, the print head then moves according to the color needed so that the correct color prints. If it thinks it's moving the print head to the location for yellow to print, and you put magenta in that spot.... well you get the picture now.

so your printer can mix the colors correctly.
If it wants one part yellow and 2 parts blue to make green. It says open slot A for a second and slot X for a second
it does not see the color just knows its location

its how ur printer is set up to distribute the ink. if you stick them in the wrong slots ur pictures, etc would come out with warped colors bc the wrong colors are being distributed incorrectly.

The colors will not print correctly if you do it any other way.
