I prefer trimmed. There should basically be a triangle that extends from the bottom of the labia majora and along the creases between the legs and the body. Hair should not be left on the legs. If hair naturally does not fill up those areas, just let it grow into those areas as much as possible. Never let the hair get too bushy. If it starts to get bushy (catching in underwear elastic, sticking out of underwear) just take a trimmer and trim a little bit off.
