Hello, Not every show has to make a point. The comedy sitcom,"My Name Is Earl" ,whether it is about a man righting the wrongs in his life or an ordinary man trying to be a superhero, is not for everyone. The show certainly is insensitive to most people feelings and that is what we laugh at-ourselves in so many of the situations in the show. Of course the show is obviously absurd. No one wants to live in a trailer park but the show's producers make living there exciting and fun.Remember there is no laugh track in the show-who needs someone to tell us to laugh anyways,. And if we find Earl drinking beer by the "pool," or we see Catalina picking up the beer cans,or Joy trying to outwit everyone in the show,or her good husband Darnell working at the bar, or Randy sleeping next to his brother,we feel that the day is a better day with them in it. I have enclosed some info on the show. Is the show funny?
If that one hour makes life easier for us to examine our own lives and laugh about ourselves too, then the show is a great comedy. That's what Jackie Gleason was all about!

He has a list of all the bad things he's done, and he's making up for them with the money he won in a lottery. It's better then a lot of shows on tv right now...

he's suddenly come to the conclusion that bad karma's going to get him if he doesn't make ammends for all the wrong he's done. (his proof is that he got hit by a car after winning the lottery---something bad happened to him because he didn't deserve the good thing) so he made a list of all the bad things he's done and is on a mission to make ammends to the people involved.

Shows dont have to have a point or a moral of any kind. its mindless television meant to melt your brain cells and leave you with no thought provoking ability.
sure is fun to watch tho! and makes a great babysitter to the children!
