5 paragraphs isn't a lot of space. Unless they are LOOOONNNGGG paragraphs. Which I wouldn't recommend. Ah, if only the teacher gave you word count instead of paragraph limitations.
Anyway, at face value, the first option is a better topic to write on. A cronological description of events is always easier than a compare and contrast.
For number 2, I'm surprised that he's asking you to compare all four. I'm thinking that the question might have been misworded, and he meant to say, "women, OR Native Americans", as in, compare and contrast only two of them. In that case, that would be a very interesting essay to write and to read, although a bit more challenging.
If the second question seems more interesting to you, ask your teacher if you have to compare all four, or just pick two.
Good luck!

Go for #2......document slavery in the old south.....plantations in Mississippi, Georgia, KKK activities.Martin Luther King sage, Malcolm X, talk about emmigrants coming to America and the first time they look at the Statue of Liberty and what it represents, take a walk across the planes and recall the battles with Sitting Bull, Geronimo, and how the Indians were put onto reservations, then finish up with women and how they won the right to vote, how they are still a miniority in the work force... and the list goes on. Have fun with it, the pen is your way to express the drama and adventure marked by woes and struggle. Good Luck

You know, a lot of writers would be having trouble deciding what to LEAVE OUT. It's just five paragraphs. You must have been told something about slavery, even if what you were taught is mostly lies. So get busy, pick a few of the lies, and regurgitate them - in your own words of course. You can't get in much trouble as long as you stay politically correct.
Now, if you were to go off-the-script, saying that slavery was good for the slaves, as opposed to the alternative (torture, death, being eaten) if they'd remained in Africa, then you might get into trouble for telling (too much of) the truth.
To some people, it's not enough that the White man saved millions of Blacks from certain death as the defeated prizes of Black-on-Black wars. No, we were supposed to give them an easy living, worship the ground they walk on, wash their feet, strew flowers in their path, give them all the sex and candy they wanted, and elevate them to Lords and Kings, every one.
Instead, we made them work, and for that they'll never forgive us.

I would pick option number one. There are a myriad of sources and documentation on slavery in America. You will have no problem writing five paragraphs, as a matter of fact, you will probably write several more!

It depends on what your strengths are in writing. 1 is a better option is research and reporting such is what you can do, or find easier (if you work with bare facts better). Option 2 is better if you can take facts are wrap your own educated opinion into them and are able to compare based on your opinion. This is for you to decide based on what you know about your writing style; I attend a writing-intensive college and I know this is true.

Hmm, I would probably pick.... Consumer Public, and Enviormental Health. Seems the most interesting out of all of those and im sure there's a ton of information about that topic.

Number 1 since it sticks with one topic-you have to compare AND contrast different people for number two.
