Actually you can. The ahir protects the vagina and surrounding area from chaffing and friction from clothing and also from any bacteria that end up on your clothing. Plus the hair lets air circulate, so you stay drier, and fungus and bacteria don't grow as readily. If you are shaved, conditions are ideal for all sorts of nasty organisms that love dark moist conditions - and, yes, they can move into the vagina itself.

Shaving is really very UNhygienic.

I have never heard of that. With shaving you can get some bad irritation (on the outside). When I started I had that problem (I have very fair, sensitive skin).

I then started waxing--and there has never been any problem. I think waxing is much better--even though it does hurt a bit--it does not have to be done nearly as often, it is smoother and there is no irritation.

Ive been shaving for 10 years and it hasnt happened yet, but you are more likley to get an infection dont use the same razor for your legs/armpits as you would down there.

No, not unless you stick the razor up you! Which i don't recommend. Don't get shaving cream or soap, or other stuff up in your vagina. that will def cause an infexion.

It's not an infection, but more like a razor burn. This happen to me EVERY TIME I do this. What I do is I use baby lotion and powder to soothe the itching and such.
