It would be the Appalachian Mountains. There's only two chains of mountains in Canada. The Rockies are in the west, which is the border of British Columbia and Alberta.

The other one is the Appalachian Mountains. It's located on the eastern side of Canada. The St. Lawrence Gulf is on the east side of Canada so the Appalachian Mountains would be the answer to your question.
