Only a couple of months ago, I photographed a little girl’s 3rd b-day party. Her eyes were perfectly straight and steady in all 60 to 70 pictures. Now, only a couple of months later, BOTH of her eyes are wildly crossed and move around independent of one another with no apparent control.
What I want to know is…and I hope someone can answer...could this little girl's eye problems be the result of an injury, of emotional or physical abuse?
Her mother is so hard on her and roughly this same thing happened to her older brother. This mother is impatient and verbally and physically abusive.

I only see this family about 4 times a year – they are so hard to be around. But I feel wrong to abandon these children. Yet I feel I am not helping anyway, because they are all always progressively worse.
Please, help me, help them, if you can, because I am losing patience and strength.

Grief, it is not the eyes, more like brain damage!

I dont think that you can jump to conclusions about this, b/c the wrong words to the wrong person (people) can cause a whole crapload of uneccesary problems for that family. I guess you are the only one who know for sure how severe this case is. But if you truly believe their is physical abuse I think you should talk to a EXTREMELY TRUSTED person and see their point of view on the situation.

There is a good chance that those kids are physically abused. I would speak to their physician then to child services. Those kids need someone who can stand up for them. If you wont, who knows they might never get help. Dont accuse their mom until you know for sure. Maybe it has nothing to do with their mother. Well, actually dont accuse her at at, if you know for sure let child services and police to take care of them
