There is no such thing as being too open minded. To keep your mind free and open to accept anything that may come along is a gift that unfortunately not many seem to have anymore. It also allows you entertain more possibilities and be open to new and different experiences that a lot of other people will never have the chance. Being open minded will also make you a more compassionate person and better friend to those around you, as you won't be shocked easily or over-act to situations and discussions. Good on you!!!

Of course not. It's wonderful to be open-minded.
However, it depends on how you're defining open-mindedness. All that the term means (to me) is being open to all possibilities and able to evaluate them with calm, detached rationale and reason. It means not closing your mind off to anything before thinking it through.
It does not mean you have to be accepting of everything, or even a lot- so long as what you have rejected you have considered with your open mind. There are plenty of open-minded people who are traditional, conservative, and, by all estimations, uptight. Yet they aren't afraid to approach taboo topics and discuss them without coming to the table with beliefs/feelings that keep their mind closed to the chance of these things being correct or possible.
That's what it means. I encourage everyone to be more open-minded, but not necessarily to condone everything that someone does in the name of open-mindedness.

The only way to be too open-minded is if you become reckless. If you're safe, then it can only be a good thing.

OK
If you were so open minded you thought that anything anyone told you was plausible ( IE: Showers are bad for you), then you are too open minded.

Not at all. Once you close your mind you stop learning, and once you stop learning you stop growing as a person.
The only people who are closed minded are those who have such low self esteem that they cannot handle being wrong about something.
