monumental failure the current Iraq war?

The biggest suprise is that the war and the war on terror is actually going to make terrorism worse. We've dug a big hole that we now need to get out of.

Bush Sr.'s successful Gulf War was the greater surprise, because at the time, we didn't know how tough the Iraqis would be, especially given their "assumed" veteran status following the Iran-Iraq conflict. It was also the confirmation that our weapon systems were vastly superior to those of the Soviet Union.
Bush Jr.'s failure is no surprise...the man has never been successful and anyone who studied the region could have predicted the current quaqmire....oh that's right Bush Sr. predicted that very thing....
Too bad he's not president...(can't believe I wrote that)...

thats funny you are judging the present as if it were the past. Try helping the present and we can all make it a better place. Remember it is easy to give up and say " every is all F***ed up!" but its hard to actually say what you are willing to do about it. Have you tried helping the poor? Havce you tried volunteering your time. I am a republican - I can't say that I believe in all the decisions the president has made but he is still our president and I felt the same about Clinton. I guess what i am getting to is: If you are not willing to help in some form or fashion then stop complaining. Because the real adults and true Americans who are willing to over come would love to step up to the plate.
