Who cares about Rush Limbaugh and Jimmy the Geek? Not me. I think that Michael Irving has earned his spot on t.v. So what if he has a cocaine problem, it just makes him more talkative anyway. I'm just kidding about that last sentence o.k., so don't get your panties in a bunch. He has enough insight and knowledge of the game to be there, not to mention the reasons why he's a future hall of famer. Just so you and everyone else know, I'm a Raider fan and I hated Irving as a player, but like him as a commentator.

It's called a double standard... It's simply impossible for a Jimmy the Greek to make the type of comments he did and keep his job in our society (we're willing to find racism even where it doesn't exist), while Micheal Irvin gets a lot of leeway simply because he is himself black. Also, During the infamous interview, Irvin was a guest on the Dan Patrick show, he isn't as accountable for his comments in this situation as a host would be. He can't be fired from his TV job, because he didn't make those comments there, and the radio people can't do anthing cuz he doesn't work for them. Still, these sort of things bring back a very prominent issue and one that I feel is being treated unfairly, where some (Jimmy the Greek, Larry Krueger [look him up]) are treted very harshly and some aren't dealt with at all (namely, Irvin).

Michael Irving is a joke.. He is soooo bad as a so called anyalist. Wow.. so ghetto and annoying.
