Sunday, December 7, 1941 at 753 am Hawaiian time. I was stationed at Schofield Barracks, Hawaii and I visited the USS Arizona Memorial twice and learned quite a bit about it.

It was done on a Sunday morning. They picked Sunday because most of the fleet was there. If I remember right, the sailors didn't have to report for duty until 8am. The Japanese knew they could destroy or damage a large percentage of the ships.
