A bus driver applies a force of 55.0 N to the steering wheel, which in turn applies 132 N of force on the steering column. What is the mechanical advantage?

I know this is homework help but it's only one question please have pity

The mechanical advantage is the factor that the device multiplies the input force (so it's not subtraction, as chattycatty implied).

MA = output force / input force
MA = force on steering column / force on steering wheel
MA = 132 / 55 = 2.4 (solution!)
