The passports will be required for reentry into this country. Take it with you, or you'll have about a ten-day delay, at least, getting one from the nearest U.S. consulate in Mexico.

Yes, and Carribean and Mexico, and Canada. They are cracking down. Don't you think they shoudl have done this on say, Sept 12 2001? What took them so long!!!

They have technically given another extension until I think Jan 23..

But would be a good idea to have, it would make things easier for you, especially returning to the US
