iPod Won't Turn On?

For some reason, when I plug my iPod into the computer, it won't come up. Basically, I can't sync any of my music into my iPod. I know that the usb port works, because it makes a specific sound when something is plugged into it, and it makes the sound. Though it still doesn't seem to work.

What's wrong with it? What should I do?

reinstall the ipod software and relink the ipod to your computer. otherwise you can try throwing it at the wall.

try leaving the iPod on when you connect it to the computer. if it still doesn't work go back to the place you bought it and tell them it's defective.
