San Marino joined Italy in declaring war on Britain in 1940, declared its neutrality after the Italian surrender and declared war on Germany when it was invaded by Germany in 1944. As it only had an Army of 300 ceremonial and archaicly equiped troops the outcome was a foregone conclusion. San Marino was liberated by the Allies in early 1945.

So in other words, yes.

Actually, San Marino remained neutral throughout the war, although fleeing Axis soldiers and pursuing Allied soldiers went through the place...not that big a place anyway...

Yes most certainly. Italy was an ally of Germany.
