They were 100% better with Roger. After Syd's departure he wrote most of their best stuff, for God's sake. I would tend to say the Floyd need Roger more than he needs them right now. He's soldiering on with a superb live show; I caught him at Hyde Park this summer and he was awesome. For those in doubt, witness his "In the Flesh" DVD of his '99/'00 tour. Brilliant stuff.

Ooooohhhhh..... interesting question. But I must say, Roger Waters has the most incredible voice, and they wouldn't have been the same without him. I have all his solo stuff, and it is amazing. I think the way things went was probably right for them. Did you see the reunion gig for Live8? That was incredible. My husband was playing a gig that night and the band actually stopped in the middle of a song so we could watch them, the whole pub went silent in awe - thats says something eh?!

Definetly with! I've seen pink Floyd live at party in the park twice.
The first time without Rodger and second time with.
The difference was unbelievable. With Rodger it was ten times better

with was good, and so was without... and sids dead... shine on.

the floyd are. its not about personalities, the floyd is about the music..and thats down to dave gilmour, rodger made the wall, and teh final cut was just an extention of it, whereas a momentary lapse of reason and their subsequent performance at earls court was a breath of fresh air...

rodgers radio KAOS is a work all on its own... even apart its still the floyds influences... (see teh video on google video) together they were briliant, and apart they are equally brilliant... shine on indeed

Definitely with Roger. He was a great asset to the band. They were all equally important.
