I'm thinking of renting one, and I don't know if I should get an alto, tenor, or what. Do any of them require less air to play? Does anyone have any helpful suggestions? Thank you!!

The alto saxophone is the easiest instrument that can cover more than two octaves. The fingering for all saxes is about the same. You best start alto, then tenor of you like.

The alto sax is easier. It's smaller and requires less breath. it's a lot like the recorder to play.
