As long as the seller is offering you a good and clear title, does it really matter if it was ever stolen and recovered? I don't think carfax does motorcycles.

Call your local police department and ask them to check the Vin number and license plate for stolen, they will while you are on the phone.

All you need to do is say these words " I think it might be stolen".

You can ask your Dept. of motor vehicles to check the VIN, or a friendly police officer may radio a check in.

get the Vin and engine number checked bye the police or ur local transport department. they will have all the details. they will even tell u if money is still owing on the bike and who was the last registered owner was.

Check the title and if there is no title take the VIN to your nearest police station

The Highway Patrol keeps track of stolen bikes, I'm not sure if you can do it by phone ,or if it has to be in person.Call the Highway Patrol they are the proper agency.
