My advice... Don't put a girl between her family and you. If the girl really "loves" you like you say she does and you "love" her to then she will come around and see that you really do love her. Now don't completely back off. Still be friends but tell her that you don't want to be off on the bad side with her family so you just want to be friends. but make sure you tell her you love her.

Dear TheT,
True Luv is not about race... it's kind of like when 2 people know the best/worse about eachother & they come together and try to support eachother emotionally, physically while onl life's journey. They r the one person who can make a bad day great. U get to know what the other is thinking and/or feeling. U know their favorite things. Ur willing to go and do somethings in life that u don't really like but ur partner loves. And it's ok. It's when intimacy is so fufilling that u have eyes for no one else. But the truth is true love is what the couple believes... there is not one definition for the world.
U need to realize her parents wheither right/wrong have her best interest at heart. Don't try to win her luv & affection by wedging their relationship. Unless she can be fully on her own, they have a tremendous influence. Listen to what she is telling u... "She doesn't know wheither she really luvs U?" So rather than pressure her and force her to choose... back off. Be the young man she fell in luv with. Earn her parents respect, please avoid any sexual pressure on her.
Even though it's 2006 her parents are not of current morals and attitudes. It's much easier to tell her parents how u feel about her & ask them why besides the color of ur skin are they offended by u? Either they will tell u straight out or they will be shocked to learn just how deeply u care. Realize u may loose her now... because her heart and mind are not ready. Good luck

I don't think there's a black and white answer when it comes to love. You may love a person, and yet realize that it would drive you crazy to live with them. Perhaps she feels that regardless of how much you "love" one another, your relationship will always be difficult, therefore she's wise to pull back and look elsewhere. You may feel very passionate about someone, but it doesn't mean that the long-term relationship is going to work.

true love is going past the odds of what others think and doing what the 2 of you think is happy if they can't be happy then maybe they shouldn't be apart of your life. Its sound to say i had to do that with mine because he didnt make the most amount of money they didn't except him and he stood by me and you need to do the same for her and her for you. Race should matter and feelings lie at times do what is best for both of you and her parents .

true love is the recognition of your soul's counterpart in another. It is real, it does exist. I found my soul mate and true love at 17. 24 years later I can not imagine trying to breathe without him...
Hope this works out for you, love can be tricky at best-dd

Sometimes you habe to settle for the old saying "if you love something, set it free, if it comes back it is yours, if it doesn't it was never yours"
Sorry brother, families have deep influnce to the people we love and eventualy get maried to. I hope she is yours, if not, you shure will get another...no doubt about that.
God luck.
