That could acually mean anything. It could possibly be the spark plug, the coil pack, the spark plug wires. Anything like that. Your best bet would be to take it to a Auto parts store and have them hook there computers to it and tell you exactly whats wrong with it. It has to be a 96 or newer and the check engine light has to be on. If not then take it to an Auto Mechanic and have them look at it and tell you... They will tell youw hat is wrong with it without charging you. If they try to charge then go somewere else... Its a rip... LOL!

yes. the timing interval for best ignition requires the most explosive compression stroke available at the right time(top dead center)or when the cylinder has reached its most upward travel just prior to beginning its downward stroke.this is only possible if up to 100 percent of the spark voltage is there.if not because of a bad wire then the fuel/air mixture ignites and burns too slowly. the result is too much fuel/ air in the exhaust which affects the valves(carbonn build up), and the catalytic system is or can be damaged.

i own a repair shop,ad this could either be a bad wire,,or a bad plug also,,on these cars they recommend changing the wires when you change the plugs on them,,i do it here at the shop, anyway,,it just keeps me from having to re-do it later on,,but yes this will cause exactly what yours is doing, good luck with it,i hope this help,s.

what do you mean?? are you asking if a bad spark plug will mess up the firing order? If so then yes it could if you cars firing order is... lets say 1234 and the #2 isnt firing becuase of either a faulted coil, plug wire or plug then your firing order will go 134 and you wont have a # 2 firing. have it tuned up

time for a tune up, get new wires and plugs for it
also could be a bad fuel injector on that cylinder
you need to rule that out first by checking to see if the injector is working
if so then its a spark issue, time for new parts
good luck

bad spark plugs and wires will cause failure in ignition in certain cyliner therefore, you car may run erratic, or sudden stop, and failure to restart. Do not play with it. It is a real pain. Proper tune up is VERY IMPORTANT FOR THE CAR.

YES A BAD OR MALFUNCTIONING SPARK PLUG WIRE, CAN CAUSE A CYLENDER/SPARK PLUG TO FIRE INCORRECTLY, OR NOT AT ALL. THE WIRE COULD ALDO LOOSE ENERGY FOR THE SPARK, FROM SHORTING OUT ON THE ENGINE.

see you later as they made a ''click" noise once you snapped them in then they're in sturdy.. did you hollow the spark plugs earlier you install them? in the journey that they didnt come pre-gapped and also you install them devoid of gapping it would want to reason the placement to worsen... that would want to correctly be your problem...J-rod
