When they tell their husbands, "Now be really really honest with me, did I gain weight since we got married?" Do they really want to hear the truth, which in most cases is, yes, or a little, or do they want us to say something unrelated? Why not just be straight up with us.

As a woman, I'd like to state, many of us don't know what we mean. We like to hear compliments, like, No, your bum doesn't look fat in that. I love that new hair colour, You're even more beautiful than the day I married you.
However, you should also know - we're not stupid. We know we've aged, put on weight and losing our looks. Be tactful.

My husband always tells me, that he loves me for the person I am, not what I look like......even though he finds me highly desirable. He tells me he prefers me with a little more weight on as it makes me cuddlier etc. Any man, can use these lines.

OMG! Perhaps he's lying to me????

There's an email floating around, about Mens' Rules... all are numbered #1, as they are all most important. Try to find this- it'll answer all your questions. To answer your question, paraphrasing the Rule #1, they don't want to know exactly what your honest opinion is, so they shouldn't ask. Only if they want the truth should they ask. Then, feel free and give her your honest opinion.

I would never ask my husband that question! I have a scale for that! LOL But the way to avoid serious pain in that situation is to say "You're as beautiful today as the day I married you" and give her a kiss. Then when she's temporarily forgotten the question RUN man run!

Depends on the woman - but I'm guessing if she specifically wanted to know the direct answer to this question, all she would have to do is step on the scale. I think, in disguise this question means "Even though I gained some weight since you first met me, do you still find me attractive?"

Women want to hear the truth from their mates however it all depends on how you phrase it whether or not your answer will get you in hot water

When my wife asks sometime that I know will cause her pain as in your question I'll answer truthfully but also add that it's in the right places and if she would like we could work on it together

As long as she feels your behind her she shouldn't get upset

Never admit that your wife gained unless you do it in a way like yes you did a little and I love the way you look. Never mind just say no you look the same and more beautiful than when we married...

The question is ridiculous. Do you not own a scale? Do you not have a mirror? Why ask someone something you already know the answer to to? Why do women want false flattery? If your pants are 4 sizes bigger, you are NOT the same size!! I NEVER ask if I look fat because I'm quite capable of making that observation myself. Of course when I something like "I wish I had buns of steel!" my fiance replies with "Who needs buns of steel when you have buns of joy!" Who can beat that kind of tact!

What she's really asking for is a little appreciation. Dodge the question as best you can, you could say something the weight enhancing her curves.

First of all a woman know wheather she has gained weight or not. Every morning when she puts on her clothes! Just say " I know what your asking and why would you ask me that when you are very aware of whether you've gained weight or not, silly".And don't forget to start it out with jeeez I don't know

It means they REALLY WANT TO KNOW. If you tell them the truth and they fly into some drama over it, then its a sign that you are married to a b*tch.
