Nope the Buffalo Sabers got the experience they needed last year and this year they will go easily into the finals. The west is a bit different Anaheim will be a threat but don't forget Edmonton and what they did last year these two teams are going all in while San Jose and Thornton are going to have to step up but no matter what Buffalo will win the cup.

As a hockey fan for many, many years I have never seen such even competition. If they can do the little things right in post-season I feel the Sharks have the best chance. That being said remember the Stanley Cup is the hardest sports trophy to win..

Its too early to know. Many things can happen. Just because you have the most wins in the season doesn't mean youre the best team at the end of the season.

Canes are not likely to repeat the East, never mind as champs. Looks to me like they've been passed by both the Sabres and the Thrashers there...however, 'tis a long season.
If I had to pick now, I'd say the Flames are finally getting hot and were my original pick to beat the Sabres in the coming final.

I don't think the Canes will remain champs. I think the Nashville Predators will win the Stanley Cup.

No. NO! The Caines will NOT be able to take the cup home again. Though I am a huge Sens fan, the Sabres are doing really well this year SO FAR, being number one and all.... I'm still rooting Ottawa though! Cause Ottawa beat them twice.
TWICE!
IN A ROW!

Buffalo, they have an awesome goalie, a very well-balanced team, and they will have an easier time getting to the finals in the East. I'm surprised more people have not picked them.
The hurricanes will make the playoffs, but that's all. They have lost too many people from last year's team.

No...they wont.
I am not an Anaheim fan...but...they look good for the west.
Same goes for Buffalo in the East.
Both of these teams were very close to being there last year and I think they will be again this year.
