+ Well It may be that it was more like an Island that went through a disaster and became depopulated or possibly it was destroyed by a cataclysm. I doubt it was as large as a continent, so the island theory is much more likely.

Some would argue, but it is highly unlikely that a separate continent existed and suddenly disappeared. The only evidence that a place called Atlantis ever existed is from the writings of Plato. It was probably just used as a fictional society so that Plato could explain how a society should behave and point to a "historic" society that failed.

There is plenty of evidence for the existence of Atlantis. But before it become acceptable to all. This world would first have to admit who were the real rulers of Atlantis was and that is something this world would never do........................... So until this world get over their ego's trips. Atlantis will always remain a mystery.............

The island of Crete and a powerful maritime economy+ a story written by Homer=Atlantis. He wrote about the Trojan war and there is evidence to back it up but the events that transpired don't mirror a man named Odysseus traversing the wine-dark-sea. His stories make epics of old events that inspired the Greeks.

Yes, there was an Atlantis.
A lot of people that are on the earth now were also on Atlantis.
Atlantis will start to resurface in around 2020.

right now they are saying that it is a myth still. i would love to beleive that it was real. and i think that people said that troy was a myth too until they found remains of the acctual city of troy and there have landmarks that have been found. so im guessing there is a really big possibility that it is true.
