Depends. on a windows computer using WinME or Win XP, the file should unzip by simply double clicking it. But if for any reason it won't, you can download winZip for free (it will be a trial version, but it will still work to unzip a single file).
Alternatively, you could search for free unzip software on the web, there are sure to be a few free zip utilities out there.
Also, you could search for WinRAR, which is a tool that uncompresses many different types of compressed files, including Zips. Again, it will be an unregistered version and will ask you to pay to register it everytime you use it, but it will still unzip the files, you just have to put up with the advertisment screen when you use it.

You can unzip a file by WIndows internal unzip features which gets installed by installing the latest service pack of your Operating system. In addition, WIn Zip can be used a s a shareware version for an unlimited period - you dont have to buy it. Also, you can use ExtractNow which can be downloaded free from "http://www.majorgeeks.com/download2029.html".

If you have Windows XP it will unzip the files automatically (you can also zip files up natively without installing a program.
If you don't have Win XP, or you want greater control over how files are zipped/ unzipped I highly recommend 7-zip (http://www.7-zip.org/) its open source so it will always be free.

once you're utilising abode windows XP, then your operating gadget has equipped-in help for Zip records. they're defined as "Compressed (zipped) folders." basically double-click on a zipper document and it is going to open in Explorer, a lifeless ringer for a folder. Double-click on a document contained in the compressed folder and also you should properly be able to open that too (yet really, abode windows has extracted a replica of the document to a distinct area and is starting that, as defined above.) yet in case you properly-click on products in a compressed (zipped) folder, you'll be conscious that a similar thoughts do not seem on the pop-up menu. This shows that it is not a actual folder. once you're utilising abode windows 95, abode windows ninety 8, abode windows Me, abode windows NT or abode windows 2000 then you actually'll want to position in a particular software to open Zip records. the appliance it really is many times recommended to apply is WinZip. rather of WinZip, Tech-professional recommends BitZipper.

Windows, Mac, and Linux have built in .ZIP decompressors, Simply right click on the file, and click on the Extract option. Or click on the file, and choose the extract option from there.
