Other than the fact that she is the most one-dimensional written fictional character ever??
To keep Martin away from Sonia----she figures he'll feel so guilty, he'll drop everything to cater to mommy. (In case you missed it last week, she heard Martin/Sonia/Joe/Dot speaking about all of their issues with her and heard that Martin and Sonia were back together.)
On Tuesday's show, she told Ian she lied about the tumour to keep Martin away from Sonia when Ian admitted to her that he was standing Jane up at the altar.

But seriously, for a minute.....there are some "villian" characters that you just love to hate---they might be evil, but they bring fun and drama to a show. But Pauline---honestly, what's the point? I can't wait for that character to be gone.

Aaarrrgghhhh!!! Pauline Fowler isn't something yet organic poison! Why has no one finished her in before this?? And Ian desires to have his **** heavily kicked!!! And definite-all of us be attentive to this is purely a cleansing soap opera-yet those people that appreciate watching it do get into the storylines and characters!!

I think pauline fowler did it just because she wanted attention and love she was feeling depressed and neglected by her family and friends and ,most of all she wanted to drive a wedge between her son martin and his ex sonia whom she hates she is obbessed with keeping them both apart as she really hates Sonia. She basically I think acted selfishly and she is very possessive of her son martin as he is the only she has got. I think she also wanted to be cared for and looked afterby those around her.

Because she is a bitter old woman (the character) and can't bear the thought of anyone being happy.
She is suppose to be leaving and is set to die in the next few weeks but how i don't know, maybe she really will have a brain tumour and that would teach her a lesson.

i dunno if anyone remembers but a few years ago there was months and months of a build up that pauline was supposed to have cancer and then suddenly it was just a big mistake and never mentioned again. the memory of that would have made this all the more believable to martin.
and yeah what a controlling cow she is. knowing she is gonna die soon it was quite funny to hear her tell martin that she worries he will put her in a home.
this character seriously outlived her shelf life to be honest and has been just treading water for ages

so that martin would believe that he has to get rid of sonia to devote all of his time to his mum,and respect her wishes.get rid of pauline,i say,and put martin, sonia and rebecca together as a family, its a better storyline than watching miserable cow pauline all the time.(sorry wendy richards if your on here,i only meant your character)ha ha

She's trying to split Martin & Sonia up. Only Ian knows the truth. She's leaving at Christmas, anyway.
