How do you accurately measure bra size? A particular size (say 36C) has a different fit if you are going by different brands. So how do you figure it out? Thanks!

Ask the sales lady to measure you're bust

Well, because of the way the sizing system works, you need to add the 5. So 26 1/2 round up 27, add 5 = 32. That would be your real band size, with a bust size of 29, that would make you a 32aa. You could probably also go with a 30aa or 30a. Probably the easiest thing to do, would just to go with a sports bra for now. You don't need to worry about cup size, just band size. And again it would be either a 30 or 32.

Measure just under bust. then add 4" if even #, 5 if odd #.

Then, measure around widest part of bust. subtract difference between the 2 numbers. 1" different = A cup, 2=B, 3=C.....

Or go into Victoria's Secret & get fitted. They'll also put you in a fitting room, and bring you all the styles that will work for you to try on!

the 36 is how many inches around you are and the cup size is the letter. Guys get this confused a lot. They refer to the cup size as the number. For example: "She has 36" t*ts." Just because they may be big doesn't increase the # size of the bra.

The only way is to go and get a professional fitting at lingire store or up-scale department store.

And your right, bras do vary from brand to brand, that is the main reason for the adjustable straps & mutlple hook clousre.

Your only other choice is to find a particular style and buy a thousand of them, bacause sooner of later they will stop making them and you won't be able to get any.

Go get fitted! Mom mother did it, it was absolutely amazing. We went to Nordstrom...highly recommended. Macys was very unprofessional and not trained. A truly certified bra fitting person makes a world of difference. I know it sounds weird but after Macys I was all about certification!

victoria's secret. they measure you and pick out the bras that will fit like a glove.

If your not into that kind of expense, i would consider going there, getting measured, buy one bra, and find the same type at target.

Hope my advice helps!
